ZTE to Release LTE Devices, Mango Smartphones in United States

ZTE plans to launch LTE (Long Term Evolution) devices and Smartphones running on Microsoft's Mango operating system in the United States, according to a May 25, 2011 report by Reuters. The LTE devices are slated for release in the second half of 2011, and the Mango Smartphones are scheduled to be unveiled in early 2012. It is reported that ZTE's moves are aimed to expand the company's presence in the US market. ZTE projects that the company's mobile phone shipment in 2011 will reach approximately 80 million units, up from 60 million units in 2010, according to the same source.
